After a breakup and a closed workshop, Leo, a quiet carpenter, takes a winter job high in the Alps: restore the hundred-year-old thermal bathhouse of Hearthfall Lodge. If the baths reopen, the lodge survives another season. If they don't, the bank takes it in spring.

The village bus comes every day. Leo could leave on any of them. But between frozen pipes, long nights by the fire, and slow conversations over coffee and cocoa, staying starts to feel less like a job and more like a choice.

Meet the women of Hearthfall

• Ingrid (36) — The proud owner of the lodge and a former national ski champion whose career ended with one bad fall. She would rather freeze than ask for help.
  
• Yuna (29) — A gifted chef who burned out in a famous city kitchen and fled to the mountains. She speaks best through food, and only after midnight.
  
• Camille (27) — A fearless ski instructor and mountain guide who laughs at everything and refuses to stay anywhere longer than a season.
