Ghostwrite the Story Everyone Wants to Own

Laurie Keele is a forty-three-year-old ghostwriter with nineteen bestselling memoirs behind him - and none with his name on the cover. Hired to finish the disgraced Duchess of Stanmere's explosive life story in a rented villa above Lisbon, he enters a sunlit maze of tapes, secrets, and carefully managed public versions.

Over eight weeks, Laurie's work draws him into three very different romances: a dazzling duchess performing for survival, a Palace communications officer determined to contain the book, and a runaway princess who would rather vanish into the sea than become anyone's material. Choose who you trust, who you hurt, and who you become when desire collides with reputation.

Meet the Cast

Venetia Tremayne-Rhodes, Duchess of Stanmere

Venetia is generous, theatrical, and razor-sharp about what the world takes from her. She offers Laurie luxury, laughter, and late-night honesty, but she also controls the pace and keeps a private bargain that could change what the whole eight weeks are really for.

Princess Theodora “Teddy” of Stanmere

Teddy walked away from royal life and built a new one from sea air, knots, and distance. Attraction comes easily, but a buried truth forces her to decide whether forgiveness is possible - and whether it has to mean staying.

Saoirse Dunne

A Palace communications powerhouse with two phones and a talent for turning fear into volume, Saoirse comes to Lisbon to open a line to a book she cannot afford to lose control of. Laurie can out-argue her, but he is also connected to the paragraph that wrecked her life.
